DAY TRIP MARI-MARI SEPANGGAR ISLAND

Easily spotted from Kota Kinabalu City Centre and Likas Bay, this idyllic tropical island is only 5km away.  A 10 minutes boat ride from Jesselton Point Jetty will bring you its white sandy beach, warm turquoise water and colorful reefs.  The sandy beaches are met by lush ancient jungle right off the coast that rises to its twin main peaks, as high as 160 meters.

A heaven for nature lovers, it is blessed with an amazing varieties of flora and fauna befitting an untouched tropical rainforest.  Trek up the rainforest trail to the South Peak ( highest peak of the island ).  Enjoy the panoramic view of Gaya Bay, Likas Bay, Sepanggar Bay, the South China Sea and our next neighbors, Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park and Kota Kinabalu City.  Be humbled by the giants trees, ferns and rattan along the trail.  Listen to the bird calls and buzz of the inhabitants of the jungle.

TOUR ITINERARY


You'll gather at Jesselton Point Jetty, Kota Kinabalu then make at  registeration at the counter. Boat will depart to Mari Mari Sepanggar Island which take approximately 15 minutes of boat ride. Upon arrival, you'll have your own free leisure either you want to go for snorkelling or diving. Lunch will be served at 12.00pm to fill up your empty stomach. After lunch, you can continue for snorkelling or diving or you can enjoy the panoramic view on the island. Around 3pm/5pm, your boat will depart from Mari-Mari Sepanggar Island then proceed back to Jesselton Point Jetty.
